What is the Fall River Valley Chamber of Commerce?
Our Chamber is a business and community association, incorporated with the California Secretary of State. We are not part of county, state, or federal government though we are prepared to partner with government to accomplish the Chamber mission. Primarily membership dues fund our Chamber but we hope also by community events such as the recent Fall River Valley Wild Rice Festival. The bulk of our membership is small businesses but also includes non-profit groups such as the Fall River Lions and the Shasta County Health Department. While we are limited by funds and must appeal to volunteers - our mission is to support both business and the community.
What does the Fall River Valley Chamber of Commerce do?
Our Chamber provides opportunities for members to make an impact on critical business and community issues such as the zoning along State Highway 299 East. Together with talented leaders in business, community and government, chamber members work to make the Fall River Valley a better place to work, live and play.
What specific programs and services does our Chamber provide?
We fight for pro-business and important community legislation and form public and private alliances. We are the primary source for businesses and individuals seeking information on the business climate in the Fall River Valley. We are the primary catalyst for economic development in this area, responsible for marketing our community to recruit new businesses to the Fall River Valley. We are the primary tourism bureau, responsible for marketing the community to tourists. We do all of this without any full-time staff. Join the Chamber and help us with this work.
